· Judson Sunday –Today, we are having the special worship service to honor and celebrate the life of Rev. Dr. Judson. The Rev. Mahn San Thein Tun, the Treasurer of the Myanmar Baptist Convention, is here to celebrate the worship with a special message with regards to the ministries of Rev. Dr. Judson and the ministries of Myanmar Baptist Convention.
· Vacation Bible School: Our yearly VBS will be held from Friday, July 31 to Sunday, August 2 at the church. If you would like your kids to attend, please contact Saya Lone Wah or Sayama Jae.
· Executive Council Meeting: The moderator is calling an EC meeting on August 16, 2009, after the Sunday Worship Service. Please make every effort to attend this meeting as there will be important and crucial issues related to the future of our church will be discussed.

- For the six Burmese seminarians receiving scholarship from OBMBC to complete their studies successfully at the various seminaries in Hong Kong and Singapore.
- Meeting with Oakland Unified School District: Newcomers parents are invited to meet with Lauren on Aug 2nd (next Sunday) at 3:30 pm to talk about Back-to-School preparation. Also ideas about what activities to do with their children during the summer months, and how to help their children learn and practice English. Please meet in the Fireside Room.
