Baptist Joint Committee Essay Contest: This annual religious liberty essay contest is open this year to all high school students in the 2009 and 2010 graduating classes. The contest offers a grand prize of $1,000 and airfare and lodging for two to Washington, D.C. Second prize is $500, and third prize is $100.The topic for the 2009 contest and all of the requirements are available from the BJC Web site. All entries must be postmarked by March 2, 2009. Announcements for 10-5-08

Daw Naw Htoo, who has admitted to hospital last week, has recovered and back home resting. Thank God for answering our prayer. It's a miracle of God that she survived. Please continue to pray for her and her family for salvation in Christ.

Saya on trip next week: Saya Lone Wah and Family will be in South Korea next week (Oct 12th thru 18th) to attend Sayama Jae’s brother wedding.

4th Annual Global International Missions Rally:

The Rally will be a multicultural, interdenominational celebration of Christian harmony and fellowship. The format will include music and singing, reporting of local and international mission activities, a message from the Word of God, and an afternoon panel discussion.
